ServicesMidsize Jet Charter
Midsize Jet Charter in Danville
A midsize jet carries seven to nine passengers nonstop on most routes across the continental US, with an enclosed lavatory and room for real luggage. We quote it point to point, all-inclusive, with no long term commitments. One phone call gets you the number.

What a midsize jet is, and when it makes sense
Midsize covers aircraft like the Cessna Citation XLS and Latitude, the Hawker 800XP and the Learjet 60. They sit between light jets and super-midsize jets: a wider cabin, a full or near stand-up aisle on most models, an enclosed lavatory and a heated baggage hold. Range is typically around 2,000 nautical miles, which is four to five hours in the air before a fuel stop.
The short answer on when to choose one: when a light jet would force you to leave a passenger or two bags behind, or add a fuel stop, but a super-midsize is more airplane than the trip needs. A group of six executives flying Danville to Dallas, or a family of five with golf clubs heading to Florida, are typical midsize trips.
If your group is four or fewer on a short hop, a light jet or turboprop charter usually costs less. If you need true coast-to-coast range with a full cabin, we will tell you to look at super-midsize or heavy jet charter instead.
What comes with a midsize charter
- Aircraft plus a two-pilot crew
- Each midsize jet we quote has a captain and a first officer up front. We plan around crew duty limits so a long day does not hold up your flight home.
- One all-inclusive price
- The figure we quote already holds fuel, crew, landing and FBO fees, and federal excise tax. No hidden costs land on your invoice after the flight.
- Priced point to point
- You are billed for the legs you take. A one-way flight is never charged at round trip pricing simply because the jet has to reposition.
- Cabin needs covered
- Need to work in the air? We pair you with WIFI equipped aircraft. Pets allowed, so your dog can sit in the cabin with the family.
- Departing from a private terminal
- You leave from an FBO instead of an airline terminal. Show up 15 to 20 minutes ahead, often drive right to the aircraft, and skip security lines entirely.
Signs a midsize jet suits your trip
Your group is six or larger
Light jets top out around five or six seats with tight legroom. Add passengers and comfort drops, and some luggage gets left behind.
The flight runs past two hours
On longer legs, a lavatory with a door and a cabin you can nearly stand in make a big difference. Most light jets offer neither.
You want to skip a fuel stop
Fully loaded, a light jet often stops once en route to Denver or Phoenix. A midsize jet usually flies it nonstop and saves 45 minutes or more on the ground.
You are bringing more than briefcases
Golf bags, ski gear or a week of family luggage need a real hold. A midsize jet carries roughly double the bags of a typical light jet.
How booking a midsize flight works
- 1
Tell us the trip
By phone, give us your departure, destination, dates, passenger count and rough baggage. Mention pets or a need for WiFi so we screen aircraft for them.
- 2
We source and price aircraft
We check midsize jets available near your departure and compare positioning distance, crew availability and airport fees. You get an all-inclusive quote and a plain reason for the aircraft we recommend.
- 3
Confirm and get trip details
Once you confirm, we send the FBO name, address and departure time, plus the tail number and aircraft type. Passenger names go to the operator for the manifest.
- 4
Fly
You arrive at the FBO from Avon, Plainfield or wherever you are starting, load bags planeside and depart. Schedule changes go through one phone call to us, on demand, any hour.

What moves the price of a midsize charter
Most of a midsize charter cost is flight time, and flight time depends on distance, winds and where the aircraft starts. The rest comes from fees and scheduling. Here is what pushes the number up or down, so the quote makes sense when you see it.
- Flight hours and positioning
- Hourly rates apply to occupied time and, often, to the time the jet spends flying to your departure airport. A jet based nearby keeps that positioning cost low.
- Overnights and crew
- If the aircraft waits for you at the destination, crew hotel and per diem apply. A same-day return or a one-way with point to point pricing can avoid them.
- Airport and FBO fees
- Landing, ramp and handling fees vary widely. Busy airports cost more than smaller fields nearby, and we will tell you when an alternate saves money.
- Season and weather
- Holiday weeks and big events tighten supply. In winter, de-icing with heated glycol fluid adds a charge on cold departures.
- Passenger and baggage load
- A heavy cabin on a long leg can require a fuel stop on some models. We price the model that can do your trip nonstop when it is worth it.
Midsize jet questions we hear often
Something not covered here? (317) 203-8680
How many people can a midsize jet seat?
Most models seat seven to nine, depending on layout. On a long trip, seven tends to be the comfortable limit. For a bigger group, super-midsize or heavy jet charter is the better match.
Will a midsize jet make the West Coast nonstop?
Usually. Los Angeles is roughly 1,600 nautical miles from central Indiana, within reach of most midsize jets. Strong winter headwinds or a full cabin with heavy luggage can force a fuel stop on some models, and we tell you before you book.
Flying one way, am I charged for the jet's trip back?
No. With point to point pricing, a one-way flight never carries round trip pricing. If an aircraft is already flying your route empty, ask about empty leg flights, which can lower the price even more.
Is there a restroom on a midsize jet?
Yes. An enclosed lavatory with a door sits in the cabin, usually toward the rear. That alone is why many groups step up from a light jet.
How late can I book a flight?
We arrange flights on demand, including late at night or the next morning, whenever an aircraft and a rested crew are open. Extra notice lets us compare more aircraft for you.
