ServicesSuper-Midsize Jet Charter
Super-Midsize Jet Charter in Danville
A super-midsize jet gives 8 or 9 passengers a stand-up cabin, a flat floor and enough range to cross the country without a fuel stop. We source the aircraft, check it against your route and give you one all-inclusive quote by phone.

The super-midsize class, and when to book it
Super-midsize jets fall between midsize and heavy jets. Common examples are the Challenger 300 and 350, the Gulfstream G280, the Citation Longitude and the Praetor 600. All of them offer a broad stand-up cabin, a level floor without a dropped aisle, a full galley, an enclosed lavatory and a baggage hold that can be reached in flight.
Range is the main reason to pick one. On a long westbound leg against winter headwinds, a midsize jet often has to stop for fuel, while a super-midsize usually does not, so central Indiana to the West Coast stays a single leg. You skip the 45 minutes or more a tech stop costs, along with its added landing and handling fees.
When the flight is under three hours or you have five or fewer passengers, we will say so and quote a light jet or midsize jet instead. Buying range the trip does not need is the most common way travelers overpay for charter.
What comes with a super-midsize charter
An aircraft checked against your route
We measure range against your real route and time of year, not the figure in the brochure. Winter headwinds, passenger weight and luggage all reduce how far a jet can go, and we factor them in before quoting.
Priced point to point
You are billed for the flight you actually take. A one-way trip never carries round trip pricing, so the jet's empty flight home is not on you unless the trip is planned that way.
One all-inclusive number
The figure we quote already covers fuel, crew, landing and handling fees and federal excise tax. There are no hidden costs waiting after you land.
A cabin built for the flight
We can book WIFI equipped aircraft so your team keeps working in the air. Pets are allowed and travel in the cabin beside you, never in the hold.
FBO arrangements
We set up the FBOs at both ends, along with ground handling, catering requests and ground transport, so the aircraft and crew are waiting when you get there.

Signs a super-midsize jet is the right aircraft
- You are flying coast to coast
- Nonstop transcontinental range is what this class is built for. One leg instead of two means less time on the ground and a simpler day.
- Seven to nine people are going
- A midsize cabin gets tight past six or seven passengers on a long flight. The wider super-midsize cabin keeps everyone in a real seat with room to move.
- The flight is longer than four hours
- Standing headroom and a flat floor matter more the longer you are aboard. So does a lavatory with a door and a galley that can serve a hot meal.
- You are carrying a lot of luggage
- Golf bags, ski gear, sample cases and a family's week of suitcases fit in the larger hold. Because it is reachable in flight, you can grab a bag mid-trip.
- Your schedule cannot absorb a fuel stop
- If you have a meeting on arrival, a tech stop is a risk you do not need. Range removes it.
How booking works
- 1
You call and give us the trip
Tell us the dates, the airports or towns, the number of passengers, the bags and any pets. Flexible times help, so mention them.
- 2
We source and vet the aircraft
We look for available super-midsize jets close to your departure point, since repositioning distance is a big part of the price. We check range, runway needs and crew duty limits for your exact route.
- 3
You get one all-inclusive quote by phone
We walk you through the number and what it covers line by line. If a different class fits better, we say so and give you that option too.
- 4
We confirm the details
Once you approve, we lock the aircraft and crew and set the FBO, catering and ground transport details. You get the departure time and FBO location ahead of the flight.
- 5
Departure day
Arrive at the FBO, usually 15 to 20 minutes before departure. The crew loads your bags, confirms passengers and you board without a terminal or security line.
What changes the cost of a super-midsize charter
Flight time accounts for most of the price. The remainder depends on where the jet is based, how long the crew waits and the dates you travel. We go through each part by phone so you can see which choices move the total.
- Time in the air
- Distance and wind decide the hours. Flying west in winter can run noticeably longer than the same route flown east.
- Bringing the jet to you
- When the closest open jet is several hundred miles off, the trip to reach you adds time. Being flexible about the departure airport can bring this down.
- Waiting and overnight stays
- If the jet stays for your return, crew overnight fees and daily minimums are added. Flying one way avoids them.
- Airport and runway length
- Landing and handling fees differ by FBO. On hot summer days, the shorter runways at small airfields near Danville can cap the fuel load, which may send us to a nearby field with a longer runway.
- Dates and demand
- Holiday weekends and big event dates fill early, and de-icing in winter adds a charge when the aircraft needs it.
Questions about super-midsize charter
- How many people does a super-midsize jet carry?
- Most hold 8 to 9 passengers, and a few layouts take up to 10. On a long trip we recommend counting on 8, so each person has a full seat and the luggage fits without crowding the cabin.
- Will it fly from Indiana to California without stopping?
- Usually, yes. Actual range depends on the model, the weight of passengers and bags, and winter headwinds. We check all of that for your route before quoting and let you know if a stop looks likely.
- What sets it apart from a midsize jet?
- A super-midsize offers a wider cabin you can stand in, a flat floor, more room for bags and about a third more range. On trips under roughly four hours with six or fewer people, a midsize jet usually costs less and does the job.
- Is short-notice booking possible?
- We answer calls at any hour and find aircraft on demand. How soon a jet can leave depends on where the closest open aircraft and crew are, and we give you an honest read on timing when you call.
- On a one-way trip, am I charged for the return?
- No. Our pricing is point to point, and a one-way flight is never billed at round trip pricing. If an empty leg lines up with your route, ask about Empty Leg Flights as another choice.
- Is our dog allowed?
- Yes, pets are allowed and ride with you in the cabin. Let us know how many and how big when you call, and we will confirm with the operator.
